going short...maybe?

So I have been wanting to cut my hair but I'm not sure how short I want to go. The thing is I need 10 inches to donate to locks of love. In order for me to donate I would need to go shorter (like around chin or a bit longer) So I need help deciding. Let me know which pic you like the best for me. This is what my hair look like basically now but dark brown. Also Im not afraid to go short...Ive done it before.

#1 (sorry for the "scandalous" picture but I couldnt find one with this haircut with her wearing cloths)

Is he gay or European?

Last night Bonnie and I went to see Legally Blond the musical. It was fantastic! So much pink! The show was good and I liked most of the actors/singers. Elle's singing voice kind of got on my nerves. She kept singing through her nose. Emmett was super cute. Bonnie and I decided we liked the second act better. There was an song called "Ireland" that was good sung by Paulette. Which by the way did a fabulous job. I think she had the best voice.

That is my first show of the 2009/2010 Broadway season at Gammage. I have 2 season tickets and love going to new shows.

This season includes:
Little House on the Prairie:The musical (is this a joke?)
August:Osage County
Mary Poppins
Avenue Q
The 39 steps
In the Heights

Im also going to see Phantom of the Opera which isnt part of my season but I have seen it in more than a decade so I thought Id go. I like taking different people to my shows. I have a different experience every time I go. I try choosing a person that will really appropriate the musical/play. This is my 4th year getting season tickets. I hope to continue getting them every year.

**Is he gay or European is a song from the show.

I might end up like Telly Savalas

I think I am losing my hair. I really think I am. I usually lose hair but I swear it twice as much right now. It might have something to do with my stress level right now or the fact I havent been exercising or my diet has gone to crap OR that in 3 weeks from today I will be 29 YEARS OLD!! Im just saying ONE of those thing may be contributing.

new coat of paint?

Last night I was talking/brain storming with my friends about decorating and I told them they could use me as their "decorating dilemma" for their decorating blog. Im excited and nervous all at the same time. What if they think my house is crap or what if this turns into a "money pit"? Shes coming in Monday for a color and is going to look at my bedroom and start thinking of ideas. I will for sure do pictures if and when it gets redone.

Girls just want to have fun!

I am a planner. Yes I am. I have already started thinking about my 30th birthday party which will be NEXT October. I already have this years mostly planned (Evening of October 10th, where TBA) I actually got the inspiration for my 30th from an activity the YSA had last weekend. AN 80's Party! Yes Im going to make all my friend and family dress up in there best 80's outfits and come help me celebrate the end of my life! (jk i know 30 isnt the end its the beginning and Im just a baby...blah, blah, blah)

This year I am actually going to be at Disneyland on my birthday. I have taken advantage of the "get in free on your birthday" going on this year at Disney. It should be a good time. Im also taking off the whole week for my birthday. I am really looking forward to it. My birthday is actually 6 weeks from today. I cant believe its almost here.

Home Sweet Home

I just returned today from having the last 4 days off and one more to go. I went to Park City, Utah with my parents and littlest sister, who actually is taller than me by at least 3 inches now....Anyways we went because my dad had a football clinic. Does my dad coach football? No. Play football? No...he is actually an official for college football, the Big Sky conference to be exact. This will be his 11th year. He is a field judge. There are 10 schools in the conference...NAU,WEBER,SAC STATE, EASTERN WASHINGTON...

Not that I'm a huge college football fan but I like the shopping. You see there is a TON of shopping to be done in PC. My mother and siblings have gone for years but it wasn't until last year (2008) did I go for my first time. Its was amazing! I got my favorite black dress there at BCBG last year among other things. This year I have to admit I didn't have as much luck. I did actually purchase the same dress but in brown/cream.

I did spend a little too much money this trip. It might just be because I just finished the 2nd book in the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan." Rebecca Bloomwoods spends WAY too much and cloths, shoes and other things she will never use. I do love buying shoes. I think I have 43 pairs.....44 I just got new running shoes.... The book is pretty good. Its entertaining and reminds you to keep your spending habits in check. She is constantly lying to cover her "shopping obsession". She ends up telling these huge "tales" to cover her spending and lies. If you need something light and fun I would recommend it. There are 3 more in the series. BTW...the movie is like the first two books but very different, like she English in the books and American in the movie. I liked the movie too...Hugh Dancy is pretty damn cute!

We drove and the drive there and back wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it. I had a lot of time to think. We started the trip but driving to Kanab Wednesday after work and stayed there that night in a Holiday Inn. It was WAY nice. It had this whole "western theme". Picture this: pictures of John Wayne all over the lobby, carpets in hall ways had buffalo's, cowboys and Indians. In the room the chairs and head board were covered in brown and white cow hide. Then in the breakfast room the had a picture of The Duke above the coffee machine. The shampoo/conditioner/lotion also smelled really good. We got up Thursday and continued on to Park City.

On the way home we stopped in Flagstaff and ate at taco bell (mckenna loves their chalupas). After we ate in went to the restroom one last time (Gilberts still 2 hours away) and when I went out side my dad was pulling the car back in. He had forgotten me! I felt a bit like olive in Little Miss Sunshine.

It has been nice to have time off and be away from home and relax. I really enjoyed myself. My sister and I did keep the bickering to a minimal. To all in all a good trip.

Disappointment

There are a lot of disappointments in your life. Not getting the rice maker for your birthday, realizing your bread is moldy when you were totally excited for a PBJ sandwich, catching the end of the movie on IFC you've been wanting to watch and one of the biggest disappointments is realizing that, that guy at the gym you think is hot from across the gym actually isn't very attractive at all. When you finally got a good enough look at him you realize why he works so hard on his body because God has beat him with the ugly stick.

This doesn't only happen at the gym, I see this EVERYWHERE and its very depressing. There's also the "hat trick" (im not talking about in Hockey when they score 3 goals in a row) its when you think a guy is attractive until he takes off his hat. Then you realize the reason for the hat was not only to cover up his balding head (which I actually like) but to cover part of his face.

There's also the random tattoos. I have seen the most bizarre tattoos at the gym. I like looking at good tattoos but sometimes I just dont get what they were trying to do. For example: I saw a gym with a palm tree on his arm. Why? I have no idea. I kind of want to ask him what inspired him to get that tattoo. Some of my favorites are the cartoon characters. I have actually seen a grow man with a Tasmanian Devil in his calf.

I promise Im not bashing tattoos. I have actually always wanted to get one or three. My friend Becky has the most beautiful one of a dragon on the outside of her foot. I have a lot of friends with tats and think most of them are beautiful.

I dont know how I went from being mad about realizing my hot gym guy is ugly to tats.

Have any favorite "terrible, what were they thinking,I hope they were drunk" tats?

5 months late

So about 5 months ago my cousin Abby tagged me and I just realized today I never did it so here it goes....

#1 LYING-
I really really REALLY hate to be lied to. That is probably my number one thing that drives me CRAZY! When someone lies to my face its like they are telling me "You are not smart enough to figure out the truth or cant handle the truth. I really hate half truths too. When you dont tell someone something it is lying. I have people in my life I have to ask very specifically about details or they end up lying to me.

#2 SHOES

I like shoes. I remember something Toni Collette Said as her character Rose in "In her Shoes"..."When I feel bad I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good... food just makes me fatter... shoes always fit." I totally agree. A new pair of heals always make me feel better and most of the time thinner (the trick is the high the heel the longer/thinner my legs look.)

#3 John Wayne

I like John Wayne Movies. I own 4 of his movies. Kind of odd right?

#4 Sleeping

I cant sleep with my bathroom door open. I dont know why I just dont sleep well knowing its open. Maybe Im afraid that Bloody Mary will come through the mirror.

#5 Vampires

WAY before Twilight I liked Vampires. I like cheesy vampire movies.

#6 Dr. Pepper

I like to drink Dr. Pepper. I especially like DP and Chocolate.I dont remember when exactly I started doing it but when I drink a DP I usually crave a cold DP.

dad

This last Sunday was Fathers Day. My dad is hard to buy for because if he wants something he just gets it for himself. The only thing you are pretty safe to give him are books or goodies. I decided to give him a few books. My dad is great! He is my lawn service and my handy man. He is one of the busiest people I know but still have time to mow my lawn every week. Mckenna spoke in her ward this sunday and heres her talk. I thought it was great and wanted to share.

Father’s Day Talk

Fathers are teachers, they teach us what we want to know, what we need to know, and what we think we already know. They help us in every way they can, whether it’s helping you with a project or giving you a father’s priesthood blessing.

My Grandpa Belnap is very driven, he always accomplishes what he sets out to do. As a young boy he raised rabbits, then sold them for market, won a marble championship, and participated in sports and music. As a young man he traded a pig to get a cornet, played trumpet in a band, played at dances, bought his own tractor, and went into the military. Later as an adult he owned a store and had 7 children who he taught all he knows. He taught them how to finish what they set out to do, and do it by working hard and having integrity.

My Grandpa Thornhill was a very hard worker. He started his own company and owned it till he died, he was the Mayor of a town near Snowflake called Taylor, and had a Ranch, which he ran with minimal help. He never settled for less then the best, he only accepted excellence.
Quote: “Excellence can be attained if you… CARE more than others do, RISK more than others dare, DREAM more than others think is practical, EXPECT more than others think is possible, WORK harder than others think is necessary.”
- Gordon C. Thornhill

My father inherited a lot from my Grandpa Thornhill, including his work ethic, among never settling for anything less then your best. My dad is the most busy, hard working person I know. Not only is he a hard worker, but he is also very smart. From my dad I have learned 3 of the best ways to learn: listening, reading, and experience. He’s taught me a lot about respect and hard work through his example. He treats everyone with kindness and respect. One of the most important things he has taught me is Heavenly Father is always there for you, and as long as you do what you’re supposed to and serve others your life will be blessed. But nothing comes easy; if life were easy there would be no point to the test.

Fathers sacrifice so much for their family, and our Heavenly Father has sacrificed the most, his most beloved son. He has taught us everything by way of the scriptures. I know this church is true and that if we follow the teachings of the scriptures, church leaders, and follow the good examples of our fathers we can live with our Heavenly Father again.

Summer is here...

Ya know how I can tell summer is here??? I am sweating like a whore in church (sorry that was a little vulgar but you get the picture)This is the time of year I ask myself "why do I live in Arizona?" It is 102 degrees at 7:00 at night for heavens sake! I am lucky though, I work all day in my house in a nice air conditioned room. I do get the occasional hot flash when I am blow drying someones hair. I hate running errand around town. By the time my car cools down I am to my next store. I cant wait till October.

Another way I can tell its summer is the delinquents across the street are outside all hours of the day and night doing who knows what. In the morning there is usually plastic bottles, glass and random thing in the street or on my lawn. I swear one of these days I will call the police.

You know you have finally become an adult when you get excited about new storage cabinets. I am VERY excited about the new cabinets I am getting in my Laundry room/Pantry. It is all one room become I made the room that would have been my pantry part of my salon. They are probably being put in next week. YAY!!!

guilty

Do you ever find yourself thinking about an ex? You wonder if they have gotten fat, losing their hair, happily married....Well today I looked one of them up on facebook (I know Im slightly a stalker)and I thinks he looks terrible and I know its a bitchy thing to say but his wife isnt very cute. Im sure she has a WONDERFUL personality and a great sense of humor but just isnt cute. They look like brother and sister...they have the same nose. Its a bit creepy. I find myself VERY glad it didnt work out and wonder how I ever found them attractive? Today Im actually happy to say Im single.

a little slip

Last night I was in the mood to bake which is bad when you are trying not to eat sugar. I broke down and made pumpkin cookie w/chocolate chips. It was my recipe using a carrot cake mix (or spice) and a can of pumpkin. I ate a few. It was bad but felt SO GOOD! This morning I was back on my diet. I didnt even gain any weight so thats good.

*** tip for dieting, add lemon juice to water and it helps cut cravings :)

Muffins and Zac Efron

So I must be missing food because 2 nights ago I had a dream about eating muffins. If I was going to binge and go off my diet it wouldnt be for a muffin. I have much better things in mind... bbq pizza from Kona Grill, concrete from Neilsons, Pollo fundido from Someburro's, salt and vinegar chips....the list is end less. Only 11 more days.

Something un-related to food or eating. I had a dream about Zac Efron. Hes a BABY but hot none the less. I was teaching a group of people how to fake playing the violin for a movie. Its was really bizzare. I think he had his shirt off....

Diet or die

Today is day 9 of my diet. I have been doing pretty well. Ive kept to it almost exactly (I did have a little ham on Easter) I am doing it for 21 days. I figure you can do anything for 21 days. Heres what it is:
Breakfast: Whey shake
Lunch: 4 oz protein (chicken, fish, lean or organic beef)
1 Vegetable (as much as want cucumber, radish, spinach, green salad, cauliflower, onion ...)
fruit (1 small apple, handful strawberries or blue berries, orange)
Melba toast
Dinner: Same as lunch

I have been trying to switch it up so I dont get too bored. Im pretty happy with the results so far....8lbs. I also drink a TON of water. I will keep you all informed on my progress.

Sleeping in a book

You know you have problems when you start dreaming about the book you are reading. At the moment I am reading the #6 Harry Potter the Half Blood Prince and yes I have been having dream of wands and wizards. Its kind of bizarre. Its happened before and will probably happen again. When I was reading the Red Tent (book about the daughter of Jacob/Israel and her life being raised by 4 mothers) I dream't about traveling in the dessert Moses style. It doesnt matter what I eat...its what I read before I go to bed.

Best Show Ever!

This last saturday night I went to the JEW concert. It was seriously the best show I have seen them play. They looked like they were having a good time too. I am so glad I went. I almost didnt go because they were sold out. I seriously almost cried. Brett, Carly's husband suggested I try Craigs List for a ticket. I found one for $100. At first I was like no way am I paying $100 for a $25 ticket! Then I thought about how much money I have spent on Wicked tickets and I have seen it 6 times. So I bought it and dont regret it one bit! They played their whole Clarity CD track 1 to 12. It was great! I havent heard them play those songs for almost 10 yrs. It was nice to go to a show again. Its been way too long. I kind of even missed the ringing in my ears I have the next day from the loud music.

Hes just not that into you...

I went and saw the movie "hes just not that into you" last night with Bonnie and Katie. I liked it, it was a cute movie. I did kind of feel like slitting my wrist after though. Bonnie said it left her with a feeling of hope, it just left me depressed. As I was sitting there watching the Character GiGi I realized I have done many of the things she "did wrong". Like obsessing over the guy because he isnt calling or analyzing even little thing he says or does. I had read the book written by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo years ago and thinks its great. I think its one of those books you should read at least one a year during the "SINGLE" years. It tells you all the things you know and should be doing but dont always do. Like if hes not asking you out on dates...hes just not into you. The book is set up in different chapters and it tackles different scenarios ....if hes not calling, if hes not dating you, if hes not kissing/sleeping with you..... The movie is basically set up the same way it just shows you different relationships. I did like it and will probably own it someday. It did show that women do the same thing...play games. I would recommend the book to all girls and guys that are in the dating scene or in an relationship that they arent sure about. The movie was cute but it COULD make you a little depressed so beware. So in the end after reading the book or seeing the movie you have to decided if "are you the exception...or are you the rule?"

4 down 100 to go

So this week I have had 4 goals....

I will have a better attitude.
I will not over eat.
I will not talk bad about ANYONE.
I will read at least one scripture a day.

Well...im doing doing so great on the 3rd one. It seems like that's all I've been doing is gossiping. Isn't that always what happens? If u try to work on something and be better that's the times its the hardest. My plan is to work on a few goals a week and then when those goals seem easy I will move on to other goals. Thats the plan anyways.

If one more thing breaks....

I had my mail box broken this last saturday night. Someone decided to punch my neighbors mailbox and it hit mine and snapped the pole in half. I got that fixed Monday. Tuesday my phone started acting up. Luckily its working for the moment. My toilet have been acting up too. It sometimes decides it doesnt want to stop running. Well, then last night my garbage disposal broke or the pipes are clogged...Im not really sure. I am so mad! If one more thing breaks or starts acting up im going to make a hole in the wall! Then of course id have to fix that too.

Great way to start the morning

After spray tanning this morning (8:15) I went to Frys to get some cereal and what not for tonight (im having 5 girl cousins from 14 to 10yrs come spend the night). Guess who I saw, well actually saw me and said hi....Rachel, the skinny, red-head, 19 yr old, model chick from the ward. She was getting a donut for breakfast. Now remember how ridiculous I look after tanning.....all I can say is awesome.
