Home Sweet Home

I just returned today from having the last 4 days off and one more to go. I went to Park City, Utah with my parents and littlest sister, who actually is taller than me by at least 3 inches now....Anyways we went because my dad had a football clinic. Does my dad coach football? No. Play football? No...he is actually an official for college football, the Big Sky conference to be exact. This will be his 11th year. He is a field judge. There are 10 schools in the conference...NAU,WEBER,SAC STATE, EASTERN WASHINGTON...

Not that I'm a huge college football fan but I like the shopping. You see there is a TON of shopping to be done in PC. My mother and siblings have gone for years but it wasn't until last year (2008) did I go for my first time. Its was amazing! I got my favorite black dress there at BCBG last year among other things. This year I have to admit I didn't have as much luck. I did actually purchase the same dress but in brown/cream.

I did spend a little too much money this trip. It might just be because I just finished the 2nd book in the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan." Rebecca Bloomwoods spends WAY too much and cloths, shoes and other things she will never use. I do love buying shoes. I think I have 43 pairs.....44 I just got new running shoes.... The book is pretty good. Its entertaining and reminds you to keep your spending habits in check. She is constantly lying to cover her "shopping obsession". She ends up telling these huge "tales" to cover her spending and lies. If you need something light and fun I would recommend it. There are 3 more in the series. BTW...the movie is like the first two books but very different, like she English in the books and American in the movie. I liked the movie too...Hugh Dancy is pretty damn cute!

We drove and the drive there and back wasn't too bad. I enjoyed it. I had a lot of time to think. We started the trip but driving to Kanab Wednesday after work and stayed there that night in a Holiday Inn. It was WAY nice. It had this whole "western theme". Picture this: pictures of John Wayne all over the lobby, carpets in hall ways had buffalo's, cowboys and Indians. In the room the chairs and head board were covered in brown and white cow hide. Then in the breakfast room the had a picture of The Duke above the coffee machine. The shampoo/conditioner/lotion also smelled really good. We got up Thursday and continued on to Park City.

On the way home we stopped in Flagstaff and ate at taco bell (mckenna loves their chalupas). After we ate in went to the restroom one last time (Gilberts still 2 hours away) and when I went out side my dad was pulling the car back in. He had forgotten me! I felt a bit like olive in Little Miss Sunshine.

It has been nice to have time off and be away from home and relax. I really enjoyed myself. My sister and I did keep the bickering to a minimal. To all in all a good trip.
